Here you'll find some descriptions of birding trips, with references to field guides, site guides, restaurants places to stay, along with some personal comments on what we saw, where we went, and who we met. Also, there are usually a few photographs or links to a photo site. Hopefully it's useful to others for planning their own birding trips.

The trip was sponsored by Golden Gate Audubon and organized by Letaka Safaris. We visited the Okavango Delta, famous for wildlife, and in circling the area went to Botswana, Namibia and Zambia. The trip ended near Victoria Falls, where the Zambezi River drops over the edge. 17 days, mostly in tents.
From May 5 to May 15, four of us flew to Detroit, rented a car and drove to Kingsville, Ontario, a convenient place to visit Point Pelee and Rondeau Provincial Park. On the 11th, we drove via Ojibway Park to Crane Creek (Magee Marsh) and Ottawa NWLR near Toledo, Ohio. The trip was focused on warbler photography, and we were pretty successful.
A spectacular trip with guide Edson Endrigo of AvesPhoto, visiting Intervales, Campos do Jordao, Itatiaia and Ubatuba. Many fascinating birds, good food, lots of trail walking, and some good pictures.
